He could remember the gods words as if it was only yesterday. Telling him who his belved “Prophet” had been, that Primus, their very god had played some cruel game of love with the pure servant, knowing he would shatter his life in exchange for a little frag…and now, there was something inside the Targetmaster that the god wanted.

Soundwave was shocked, he did not que understand the Chaosbringers words, only when he put his giant paw on the servants adbomen, he understood. How..could that be? But then, if it really was Primus, the Lifegiver, it wouldnt be so unlikely..

Hate and vengeance boiled in the young one, despair and hurt. How could he..and there Soundwave thought he actually cared…

A gentle claw rested on his cheek, forcing him to gaze up at the Chaosbringer once more as the dark god sealed his lips with his own. Soundwave would have jerked back, terrified for his own live if Unicron hadnt promised him to take away the pain…to make him forget his sorrow and turn it into revenge.

The only price Unicron asked for, was that Soundwave would serve him. And then he would give him back his old life, without Prophet. Grant him the chance to take revenge on anyone who had ever hurt him before.

Soundwave gave in. Offered Unicron his frame which the Chaosgod eagerly devoured in every sense. And that was when he died.

Another gladiator taken down. Another fight won. Soundwvae glared at his enemy below, feelers ready to drill through the others cranium. The crowd cheered and the ex servant returned with his life safe for the day.

He was getting quite famous, so that a certain someone once came to him, wanting to take him back. Soundwave intended to refuse, but Unicron wanted him to go. It had to be. According to plan.

Soon after Soundwave somewhat returned to his old life, only he had a little Deployer with him. His master was still weary but he could not hide that he was somehow..in a better mood now that he had his servant back.

Cycles passed, nothing really happened. But there was a burning question Soundwave jad to ask. So one night he waited for his master, finally having enough corage to approach the Senator in his demand for answers.

“Why?”

The query seemingly confused the elder, who instantly took on an agressive stance. But Soundwave would not back down. He had to know. Why he was abandoned. The answer he would receive, was nothing the azure servant would have expected.

“Because Prophet took something which rightfully belonged to me. Which I had been waiting to claim for so many vorns„,and you betrayed me, Soundwave. I gave you everything a mech could desire, and this was how you repaid me? Falling in love with that pit-damned Councilor? There should have never been someone else holding your attention…beside me.”

Those words stung, like a thousand needles to his Spark. Ratbat had remained harsh, accusing in fact. Still Soundwave could read the tiny bits of expressions the Senator made while he spoke, being able to study each and every gesture of the other over time. Had he been so blind over al those vorns? Soundwave would have never dared to assume anything close to what was actually the reason. But he had the entire night to think otherwise..

From there on his old life returned, being the Senators assistant. Even if Soundwave had gotten quite famous, some of his collegues did not quite approve with the purple mechs actions. Rumors spread quickly, that Ratbat wasnt any better than Prophet, faling for a servant which he ever so declined.

Soundwave did not bother with rumors, he knew what he was allowed to do in public and what not. He hadnt been studying Communications in Polyhex for nothing over the past vorns.

But a certain someone seemed to enjoy clinging to their tailpipes, mocking and commenting on them whenever he could.

And it was no one else than Proteus.
